QtitanRibbon support office 365 style

3 years 2 months ago #1 by ren
Hi there,

I can find your 2020 ~ 2021 plan in the website, and it said it's gonna support office 365 style. And now it's approaching to the end of 2021, how's the status now? What's the release date for this major release?

Thanks,
ren

Unfortunately, the development of new styles is currently on hold.
It is connected with the fact that we coded all styles by hand, which is quite time consuming. As a result to speed up the development of new styles, we decided to analyze the possibility of creating a tool for creating styles without coding.
At the moment, we are developing a prototype based on Adobe XD, which implements the idea - draw a style in Adobe XD, load Adobe XD file to Qt and so we have a new Qt style.
How we will successful in this matter will be clear in a couple of months.

We have made a lot of progress in this matter, however, when the final solution will be presented,
i cannot say for sure. At the moment, we have a complex XD format parser and rendering engine for XD shapes.
Moreover, we will support all Components inside the XD without any restrictions. See screenshots.
PushButton

Calendar

ComboBox

ToggleSwitch

The entire scheme of work has not yet been approved but our next styles will definitely be based on Adobe XD. We will provide a complex template for the Adobe XD, which you can then modify and compile back into the Qt style.
